Hello Mallorcaboy nice to see you posting again hope that you are well, if i remember you and me both used to like the Balaixa in PP it's a shame that it closed as we really enjoyed going there for that special meal. we have no idea where Arni and Mandy are now but we saw that someone has opened a place where the Balaixa used to be, we meant to go and have a look but forgot.

Last year Arnie and Mandy were running Bistro Mar in CSV - and very good it was, too!!!

We enjoyed a lovely lunch there last week, very nice people, beautiful tapas, lots of veggies options, great location, we must try and eat there in the evening next time, well worth a visit

I believe they are still at Bistro Mar. We were over with a large family group in June, but because of all the kids, didn't eat out anywhere. Had to put up with cooking and eating at a wonderful country villa near Calla.
We are over for a few days in September, so we are going to try to get to Bistro then if we can.
Balaixa was an amazing place for us, we have so many great memories.

Thanks Porto. To be honest I’ve kept away deliberately because now I’ve sold our place there it means I can’t get over when I like and so need to get the place out of my system. Still trying, but it’s very hard.

Hi everyone. We spent a wonderful fortnight in PP - got back home a couple of weeks ago. We went to Bistro Mar one evening. Food lovely as usual. Good price and lovely setting. I love CSV. I was chatting to Mandy and she gave me some very bad news. They are closing. They have, however, bought another premises similar to their old one with a pool etc. She asked me for my e-mail address so she could update me properly but we never got the chance to go back and I didn't give it to her. We are back again in October and Mandy said that they would probably be in their new premises by then.

Does anyone know anymore? Is anyone going out there soon who might be able to find out where their new place is? I'm so cross with myself for not going back.

I did here through another member of the forum they were going on to a new project, but I should really wait until things are announced more formerly. We are there 16th September and hope they are still open. Would really love to catch up with Arnie and Mandy
