Hello all.

Me, Mr Bird and Mama Bird arrive very late next Sunday so will just be going straight to bed and then will need a stiff cup of coffee and a nice bite to eat in the morning. What are your recommendations for a blissful breakfast in the Old Town?

Thanks, PP Forum Hive Mind!

PS I am ridiculously over-excited. But Sparky please could you ask the weather to cool down just a tad? Specifically, I'm after about 27 degrees? Ta ;)

We like buying a croissant or other pastry from the patisserie around the corner from Il Giardino (it belongs to them too) & then ordering coffee on their restaurant terrace in the square. If they know you have patisseries they'll bring you a plate!

Hi Littlebird, i wish i could turn the heat down a bit but the yellow alert is set to continue for the next few days, it's 32c as i type this and i am melting :(.

Seconded on the suggestion of Il Giardino on the main square. They do a continental breakfast with juice, coffee, a pastry, jam and bread for around 6.50 Euros.

Is Bar Espanol in the main square? If so then it must be very close to Ca'n Moixet.

LOL here we go again

It's no different from people referring to Bar Cultural in PP square as the Corner Bar :)

Depends which corner you're on I suppose ;)

I would agree with breakfast in Giardinos. Nothing better than sitting there watching the world go by on market day .

And I would agree with Debz, was doing just that this time last week and give anything to be there now - pastries, coffee, location - perfect!!

Hi
Please could anyone recommend the best place for an English breakfast in the Puerto pollensa square/pinewalk area/sis Pins area?

I don't go out for breakfast but i have heard very good reports about Nostalgia ;).

The Tapas Tree (previously The Ivy Garden) does a good English or if you want the view, The Joker on the Pinewalk has been a family favourite for many years.

Thank you. We tried the Joker and it was fine although service a bit slow. Tapas tree does look nice so we may try that if we go out for breakfast again

Have been in Nostalgia twice since arriving for a half English breakfast, coffee and an orange juice in the morning. Good service, good food, good coffee :)

For the view you can't better Hotel Capri sitting out on their tables beside the water. The breakfast was good at 8.5€ and buffet style with plenty of choice of hot and cold dishes. Only downside was they cleared away at 10 am but we just grabbed another coffee and stayed enjoying the view. On the day when we were a little late we tried the Tapas bar, at the back of Sis Pins, very good quality and service again.
