The family who run Mombasa & Torre Playa are the owners of the building

Yes thanks. I was going to confirm that yesterday but didn't want to be ticked off again for spreading false rumours. As I said, it is not going to be run and operated by the OWNERS of the building.

Molt, maybe it would be better if you waited until you had all the information before posting. You have a tendency to "drip feed" info which often leads to confusion :).

Have never seen it open !

The last few years we have walked past it on our morning coffee trip and did wonder what it was like inside Never knew it was there before that Certainly not the average looking Bar or Restaurant in PP !

There is a page on FB which has some photos of the inside, search for "Buddhabar A Punt".

Many years ago it was a restaurant, i think it was called "A Punt" but am not certain.

Sparky,
It was called A Punt and was very good but had several owners over many years ,sadly it did not seem to pay for any of them, although close to the front I think people just did not know about it.

If memory serves me right it used to be Petit Paris and their steaks were great.

I remember it as A Punt going back 25 years or so. Very good and popular with the locals. From memory it was very dark wood and on split levels. Always busy at weekends but think a bit hidden for most people. I remember Petit Paris too but think that was on the next road back but could well be wrong!

Debz - I cannot picture any other location for Petit Paris but I am going back 35 years or more:eek: With a memory so old I could well be wrong.

I remember it as Ca'n Pep?

Like Debz my memory has Petit Paris in a different location, maybe somewhere near Los Zarzales but on the other side of the road?

Alcanada - it is opposite Los Zarzales, on the corner overlooking La Gola.

You're right it was Ca'n Pep I remember not A Punt. I also think you're correct about the location of Petit Paris being opposite Los Z but a bit further up the road.I can see it now...very quaint and French looking unsurprisingly! ;)

Debz - yes that is also my memory of Petit Paris. I will be in the port shortly and will take a stroll to see if I can find the exact place where it was!

Hi GG thanks. See my reply to Debz, I need to take a trip down memory lane - literally! But I am convinced that the Buddha Bar was at one time a restaurant called Ca'n Pep, it seems some others have a similar memory. I am much less clear on what it became after that!

Yes,Al budda was Can Pep and wasnt P Paris on the same street, same side but a little nearer the center of PP?
