Bus from Palma Airport to Puerto Pollensa

  • Thread starter Thread starter 40 something

We used the Puerto Pollensa bus to Palma and then the no.1 bus from Plaza de España to the airport on 3 May 2016 and the fares were 6.30 euros and then 3 Euros per person respectively.
Is the 5 Euro ticket for a faster bus service maybe?

This is the info on the link that Pollensa gave :-

Bus Airport To Palma - Line 1

To get to Puerto Pollensa from the airport you need to take this bus to the Palma Intermodal Station in Plaça d'Espanya . Then take the stairs/escalator down to the underground Train/Bus/Metro station (beneath Plaça d'Espanya) & then take the bus from Palma to Puerto Pollensa. See timetables above.

This fare has more than doubled since we used it 4 years ago! A very good service though.

The details I posted on the main website on Directions from Palma airport to Puerto Pollensa Majorca Mallorca & Transport in Puerto Pollensa, Majorca - taxis, bus, trains, airport transfers were based on the information on the EMT Website (EMT Palma - File on bus line).

It states that the single fare is 5 EUR & the timetable to be downloaded is from the 19th May - so maybe it has just gone up. We won't know uintil someone actually uses it again & posts here.

Meanwhile, MDR, please stop posting alternative links as they may well be out of date now.

I have just spoken to EMT ( Palma Municipal Transport ) to enquire about the Palma to Airport and Airport to Palma tarrifs.

I was told that on the 6th of May, 2016, they increased the price from € 3 to € 5 per journey.

Just to confirm, the price is 5 euros from the airport to Palma and the usual cost from Palma to PP, one thing is that the bus now goes straight to the new port bus stop, so if like us you are in Gotmer or Pinerat, I would get off at the roundabout by Habitat and walk down through to there which is shortly than walking back from the port

Depending on where in Pinaret or Gomar you are staying there is a new stop near to The Pollensa Park hotel.

I didn't stop there on the way to the port, I think it may only pickup from there on the way back to Palma, you could sit on the bus and wait till it left again, but that could be a while I think!

Does anyone know where we are with buses from the airport to PP? I was speaking to someone who works in PP and he reckoned that the bus from the airport ran along the front of PP and does a stop there. Is that right?

Only I have some family coming out in July when I'm there and don't really want to drive to the airport, but happy to collect from Alcudia. They arrive at 9pm. Any help would be appreciated?

Thanks Sparky, that's what I thought. I see the last bus leaves the aeropuerto (did you see what I did there? :) ) at 9.40pm, so thats a bit tight.....hmmm will need to be on standby then, no vino for me!

Treat them to a taxi and you can enjoy your vino. ;)

To be fair, when we used it last year, just as we got off the bus in Alcudia, the bus along to Puerto Pollensa was just pulling up. I thought it was really easy. A bargain too!

How much was it all in PB?

https://majorcadailybulletin.com/ne.../aerotib-resort-buses-growing-popularity.html

The Aerotib bus services from the airport to resort began to operate in May last year. Following a somewhat stuttering start, they are now proving to be more popular. Between May and the end of August, there were 145,734 passengers on the four routes, an increase of almost 26% compared with last year.

There is no doubting the fact that the bus services offer a more economic way of travelling to resorts than taxis. Getting to Cala Millor by taxi can cost 90 euros; the bus costs one-ninth of this - ten euros.

While the buses are principally for tourists, they do also provide a service to residents, people who themselves are flying back to Majorca or who simply use them as a means of transport. Depending on the route, the buses stop in certain interior parts of the island.

Still no direct bus to P though. The L340 from Palma is great but getting out of the airport on a busy #1 bus with a suitcase is a pain. Cant wait for the tram to get built.
