REVIEW: Cafe S'Algar

This bar and coffee shop doesn't seem to get mentioned very much on the forum. We love to sit and have pre dinner drinks (two decent sized glasses of wine for 4 euro) as opposed to Boney's where we asked for 2 glasses of wine and got two 25cl bottles at the inflated price of nearly ten euro. We didn't go back to Boney's

We also like it here for morning coffee and for late night drinks, they do a mean mojito too

Have to agree.

My wife and little boy love it there. He goes to what he calls the "cabinet" and gets his ice cream out and promptly sits down and starts to eat it before we even order our drinks !! The staff just laugh at him.

(And yes, I do pay for the ice cream!)

Cortado in algar is a daily favourite. mightbe a bit strong for some people but the bst little coffee ever. just dont go there on a wednesday afternoon when the street cleaning machine goes past / hah hah got caught out there once

Yes Blue, it's a small coffee with milk often served in a glass.

Blue, many locals have them and when it's really hot (weather) they pour it over ice.........love it!!!! . Of course they spoil it (imo) by stirring sugar into it .

Yes Cortado is our morning choice with solo the rest of the time

Did have to ask him not to sprinkle choc on the top ( like Capuccino ) this year never had that before By the 2nd day he was saying "Non cacao " !!
