Hi,

We are going to CSV in August again this year. Does anyone have any news on the area such as any new restaurants or bars, or if anything has closed since last year? And does anyone have any news on the Simar this year?

Hi Baldwins.
Called in at Easter,place seemed to be springing into life!
We always pay a visit to the Modesto restaurant,its been decorated,new slightly improved menu,its a nice change from all other places because of its grill style mallorcan meat/fish range of dishes,well worth going and couple who run it are lovely and always trying to please!
Go there you wont be dissappointed.

Yes we've been to Modesto a few times and have never been disappointed, we'll be there again this year too.

We called in a couple of weeks ago and were really disappointed. The snack menu was limited and the prices were quite high, the food was mediocre with small portions. The only good thing was the good position overlooking the beach.

We left wishing that we had gone to 'Marinas' which is just opposite the Don Pedro hotel, where we normally get a good meal at very reasonable prices.

Never been disappointed in Cala Barques, they are really MDD specialists and not at all pricey in that area, for snacks perhaps bar Mallorca on the beach is better
