Just had the poster for the festival delivered, normally this event is in July on the same weekend as the blessing of the cars, when all the wagons go around throwing out sweets, but this year it has been delayed to next weekend.
So it starts on Friday evening 22nd with a band going around the village and stopping in various locations playing pipes & drums.
Saturday often starts with a loud cannon going off and then various races etc. on the beach. Later in the day by Cala Mollins there will be a stage for displays by Gymnastics and/or dancers. Bouncy castles appear and two groups play until the early hours.
Sunday is quieter with a brass band in the park opposite the Don Pedro about 8.30pm. We then have a firework display set off from the headland around 11pm.
O.k. so its very low key compared to the port, but we are a little village .
