We are out at the weekend :D and just running through where we are likely to be eating. A local recent returnee from PP has advised booking a seat is essential.

Searched back through the forum but doesn't seem to be any recent (post Jan 2016) mention of Can Josep. Have I missed something? Anybody got up to date news?

Can Josep, is still as good as ever. Always guaranteed a good welcome and the food is as good. On Saturdays he has a saxophonist playing and I think alt. Fridays a singer. He closes on Thursdays.

Just got back to the UK today and C'an Josep was, as always, a treat not to be missed. As always a friendly welcome awaits, with superlative service and food.

NOT to be missed and highly recommended. I'd always book ahead, particularly at weekends.

You won't regret it!

Ca'n Josep is as fabulous as ever. Had dinner there with friends last week which was excellent but you do need to book.
He now does a menu del dia at lunchtime only at 18.95 euro's to include 3 courses, bread and aliolli and a drink. We went for lunch today and you could use whatever adjectives you like as it was simply fabulous. There were 4 of us. 3 started with Mallorcan Frito ( Josep with tell you it is his grandmothers recipe! ) and the other had melon and Parma ham. For mains 3 of us had the hake with a spring onion sauce and one had the spinach and ricotta ravioli. Deserts followed with ice cream beautifully presented and a chocolate mouse.
There is a good selection for each course and Josep tells me he will be serving the same menu at lunchtimes throughout the summer.

This is without a doubt one of the best if not the best restuarants in Puerto Pollensa and Josep, his wife Lucy and staff Shingway and Juan really make you welcome. My wife pronounced today's lunch probably the best meal she has had in PP and we have been coming here for 33 years so some accolade! So good in fact that we are back for lunch on Friday for a friends birthday.
