Really, Fifer?! That would be quite something... although I suspect lots of current Sis Pins guests would be up in arms... but it's the sort of boutique sea-front hotel that PP needs IMO - in the long term, that could only be good news.

Yes - it could be a sort of Mar Calma by the sea if they get it right, although it will tend to alienate the established customer base. We were regulars for years at the Sis Pins in the Globespan days, but had an unfortunate experience when the place re-opened under new management so never returned (although we're still on good terms with some of the folk who work there). We were somewhat underwhelmed by the food at Cappuccino too - nothing wrong with it but it was very ordinary and somewhat expensive for what it was (and they don't cater particularly well for vegetarians). But the setting and ambience is good and the presence of such businesses can only be good for PP as they obviously attract business and they look appropriate and attractive on the front.

We do have fond memories of eating on the sun terrace when the Sis Pins used to extend their own restaurant onto the terrace in the latter days of Globespan's ownership though.

Could be better in some ways if they have the hotel, surely they will do the breakfasts and who knows a discount for guests at cappuchino.

Back to the future! (Sis Pin guests used to get a restaurant discount under Globespan ownership).

cappucino rip off!!!

Yes the position of the cafe, and the ambience looks great, but even the forum members who rave about it have all said the same thing, TOO EXPENSIVE, SMALL PORTIONS, and in a lot of cases surly staff.

Fortunately everyone can have different tastes and preferences. Here's our take on Cappuccinos -

Staff have been fine on every visit, portions have also been just right (we often find restaurants serving portions that are larger then we would wish) and (yes) expensive (but not too expensive to stop us going there). It's a great addition to PP, counterbalancing the rapid growth of TexMex places, and interesting to hear about the potential changes that include Sis Pins hotel.

Yes Kwuk2, If what people are saying about Cappucinno taking over the"SisPins", they then will ruin many regular peoples holidays there because it will no longer be affordable for them. and i take it your not a fan of TEXMEX, Neither am I. !!!
