Car hire early hours of the morning Palma Airport - Carjet?

Hi all,

we are due to arrive in Palma early hours of the morning. Looking around Carjet seem the best as they don't then take a credit card deposit on arrival and their prices are really keen. Can you confirm this is the case and advise me of what to be aware of if any or better still my choice is spot on! Arriving early hours on a Sunday morning makes me feel nervous, i just hope the desks are still open and we can get out and head to PP smoothly and easily.

Welcome to the forum

Carjet isn't actually a car hire company so they're not represented at the airport. They're actually the Uk based agent who then hand the booking on to operators in Palma.

They're totally reliable in my experience. However....you won't actually know which company they're using until you get the booking. So they might be using Europacar, Centauro or one of the other agents based at the airport. Equally they might possibly be using one of the off-site operators who undertake to meet you at the airport and then take you to their depot on a bus. (Not really what you want in the early hours of the morning!!)

My view is that you'd be better off going direct via the web to a company like Centauro. I think the web address is www.centauro.es. where you can book online.

Just my personal view. What do others think?

Best prices with Carjet as you dont pay up front when you book you get the voucher and they tell you the company mainly using Europa Gold Cars who are OK, if and I doubt its a off site agent all you need do is cancel at no cost.

I have used carjet many times no problem you can always ring them and ask.

Go for nothing to lose.

Hi just back from a two week stay and used carjet.picked up car from goldcar desk no problems-you pay for a full tank of fuel which can be a blessing in the early hours-have used Record many times but got fed up of the long queues at desk and then picking up a car with no fuel!
