Gemma, just a little tip for when you arrive. Whenever I have booked car hire at Palma I have left wife to get the bags etc and I have hurried off to the car hire desc to beat the quews ( as do many others) by the time paperwork is done wife arrives with bags and all is well. However Villa Parade are using Avis and on arrival at the desk inside the arrival hall you are sent over to the main carpark to complete the paperwork. No problem except when wife arrives at the terminal desk you are nowhere to be seen and as its not possible to get back into the arrival area you end up being split apart and having to look for each other.( NOT EASY ON A BUSY sATURDAY). If you know this its easy to sort , but can be a bit stressfull if your not aware. Hope u have a great holiday.

here is another little tip tip from the opposite of tombadino.Whenever i have booked a villa with hired car i make sure i am one of the last people the car hire company deal with because on a couple of occassions all the basic models have been taken and they give you whats left usually a far better car without any additional charge.Lat year we were lucky enough to get an air conditioned Renault Megaine for the two weeks.

Many thanks to both of you!
Dont know which tactic to try.......will leave it to my husband and dad to decide!
I will be the one struggling with the cases, a baby and my mom who has a broken arm!!
(sensibly, the rest of the family are following us out there, in peace!)
Thanks tho, its great to get a constuctive reply and these tips help lots of us hopefully.

To speed things along you should also have your credit card handy (deposit and petrol payment), your drivers licence (some also require the paper 'part'), your passport, and it is handy to have your destination address and mobile number written down on a piece of paper or your rental confirmation voucher as most of the hire car companies require this information.
