We use carjet , can book oon line, pay nothing until you get to airport where you collect the car from the Europa office

How about a good car hire firm in the Port if I want a car just for the day, or maybe coupla days? Any recommendations?

I can highly recommend Record Renta Car. I use them every time & (fingers crossed) have never had a problem. You can book online at www.recordrentacar.com They take your credit card details but don't charge it until you return the car!
Prices are very competative too & cars are usually no more than 6 months old.
