Yesterday was Colin's 80th birthday and i wanted to surprise him which is very hard to do. I contacted Toni and Tori who own Casa Vila and asked if it would be possible to have lobsters with garlic butter and salad, they were more than happy to arrange it. We had glasses of cava on arrival, the table was beautifully decorated and they also arranged a cake.
I had planned for our son and daughter in-law to be there to surprise him and oh boy he was, i didn't expect tears but there were.
We had the Casa Vila Combo to start, the lobster was cooked to perfection and Pep the head waiter kindly deboned it for us, a couple of bottles of Pinot Grigio Blush helped to wash it down. The cake was delicious as were more glasses of cava on the house. Toni came and presented Colin with a bottle of wine to drink at home.
So a truly memorable evening in a fab restaurant with great staff who bent over backwards to make it a special occasion
