Attended a friends 30th birthday party in JK's tonight and who should walk in the door, non other than Perry Fenwick aka Billy Mitchell. He was a very friendly guy and happy to have photos taken and have a chat with the guests. I prefer to watch from a distance but it is great PR for the bar and the port. Bet it will be on the front page of the TOTN, at least i hope it will.:D

Week before last I saw ex Everton striker Graham Sharpe near the Daina Hotel. Not exactly Michael Douglas but there you go. We were eating in one of the restaurants, L'illa? Something like that. His family were perusing the menu of the place next door.

Sorry sparky, it is just me, I have no idea in the world who Perry Fenwich is, is he famous?

He visited almost every bar in the port saw him in Luv Juice and Can Balache

Oh, thanks m8, thats why I havent heard of him

We had a positive flock of celebrities (I use the term loosely) when we stayed in June.

1)Vince Clarke out of Yazoo and Depeche Mode at Sunday Market
2)Rowland Rivron having a fag in PP sat on the beach wall near the sand scupltures

and last but definitely not least

3) the millionaire Paul Daniels AND the lovely Debbie Mcgee walking round the shops in Pollenca.

Haha.

We saw Bob Geldof in 2007 in deia, my husband had been joking all day about all the famous people we were bound to see there and thought I was pulling his leg when we drove into town and I said "there's Bob Geldof" mind you my teenagers had no idea who he was which made us feel very old!!

Yes Deia is a real celebrity haunt. We stayed there for a week a couple of years ago and saw Richard Branson, Ruby Wax, Andrew Lloyd Webber and Roman Polanski wandering around the town at various times (not in each others company I hasten to add!).

I saw Lee Sharpe, ex Man U and Leeds on the road from Pollensa to PP last year. He was driving a very nice Bentley type car.

Alcanada - that would have been at the time of Sir Andrews birthday bash - can't remenber which decade he was celebrating - 100 yaers maybe!!

GG

Over the years i've seen, Liam Gallagher, Patsy Kensit, Rikki Fulton, Claire Grogan, Steve Mc Mannanon,Barry mcGuigan, Lorraine Kelly, and one year there was so many of the cast of Corrie, people thought they were filming a episode.

GG - could have been some sort of Lloyd Webber party, although probably not a birthday bash as he was born in March 1948 and we spotted the aforementioned people on our stay in August 2006 (sorry that was 3 years ago and not 2 as I originally said). He has a couple of houses in the village so is a regular. I think Ruby Wax is a friend of Lynne Franks, who has a house in the village. Branson has connections due to his previous ownership of La Residencia. Which leaves Polanski and I don't know about him (probably just as well) but I can report that he was wearing sandles with grey socks on the beach at Cala Deia

Here's my little celebrity story.

A little while ago (maybe a year or so), I was at Colchester station on my way into London. A train was already on the platform so I rushed in and set down next to a woman. We waited for the train to leave. After 5 minutes we heard an announcement asking us leave the train and telling us that there'd be no trains to London for a while (body on the line I'm afraid). The woman seemed very upset and muttered something about having a plane to catch. I went off to call my husband to pick me up (my journey wasn't essential). He suggested I find out if there were trains from Shenfield further down the line (on the Southend line) so that he could take me there.

I asked in the office, where the woman was now looking very anxious, and they said that there would be trains from Shenfield station. She asked if we could share a taxi there. I looked at her, thought she looked quite normal (!) and offered her a lift with my husband.

Whilst we waited for him she told me she was going to Gatwick to catch a plane to Mallorca! That sounded interesting so I asked some more. It was very complicated. She was meeting one of her sisters at Gatwick to fly to Mallorca to that sister's villa where their other sister was celebrating her birthday. It was to be a surprise visit.

On the way, I found out that she was going to Deia but knew nothing about it & had never been before. It didn't really sound like a place for a holiday villa but I told her that it had literary connections - Robert Graves, festivals etc. Ah, she said, that's probably why my brother-in-law chose it. He likes that sort of thing.

She then went on to explain that she'd be going out again with her teenage daughters at half-term. Was there anything for them to do? I wasn't too sure about that but, I told her, but I'd heard you may run into someone famous like Bob Geldorf in the supermarket. Oh that's good, she says, they like meeting famous people. Actually, she said, my brother-in-law is quite well known. Oh dear, I thought, I probably haven't heard of him. What's his name? I asked. Andrew Lloyd-Webber, she answered.

We used to see John Pertwee fairly regularly (obviously not anymore) He had a villa behind the Ranco Grande? stables.

Also Leif? who used to own Font de Gall restaurant was the chef who did the Findus Crispy Pancake adverts on TV and was the basis for the mad Swedish chef on the Muppets. Anyone know what happened to him?

Whilst enjoying breakfast in Pollensa Square we were sitting next to Jonathon Swain (GMTV Reporter) and his family. In fact this morning on GMTV he was saying that he paid £12 for a bucket and spade for his children at a breachside shop. Also we are sure we spotted Sir Steve Redgrave on the Pine Walk.

John Torode (masterchef) staying next door at Bellresguard apartments last week ,was going to ask for his opinion of my Paella but thought better of it!
