Complaint against Pollenca City Council

In March 2007 my holiday rental car was damaged due to a faulty road drain cover. I claimed compensation and after 1 year my claim was accepted in writing by the Ajuntament.

In February 2008 I supplied my bank details as requested and this was acknowledged but no payment has been made in spite of innumerable email requests to ajuntament@ajpollenca.net.

I have had only a single answer asking me to contact the "economic area" but the language problem makes this a daunting prospect. They constantly ignore my messages.

Is there an official body to whom I can make a complaint about this failure to pay my agreed compensation?.

Two weeks ago I sent a fax to the "economic area" (treasurer?) on this topic.

They have not had the courtesy to reply.

What is going on here?.

If it was in the UK I would go to the small claims court but no such arrangement exisits acros european borders until December 2008.

My MEP cannot get a reply either.

I am disgusted to say the least.
