I am pleased to report that D'Arca is open and just as good as ever. (It is the restaurant inside the boutique hotel Can Simo within the old walls). We are foodies and this remains our number one restaurant on the island. Service and ambience make it a special place for a special meal.

Hi, is there any way I can book this restaurant from the UK? I am asking as we will be arriving on the 24th Sept and its our 40th Wedding AV on the 25th so was hoping to book a well recommended restaurant in advance, bit of a surprise really as OH has no idea. Any help would be great, thanks

D'Arca has moved and is no more in the lovely little courtyard. It has the same menu and staff but is located just behind the town hall in Alcudia old town in a small square. It isn't as intimate as before but when it gets dark the small square takes on a new life and is quite beautiful. The Chef, Roberto, recently won a celebrity chef programme on Spanish TV, and his steaks are to die for. He is from Chile and knows his meat.

To book you need to phone 971539178, which connects with the owner Pedro and who has 3 restaurants, so you need to tell him that the booking is for D'Arca. .

Despite the change it still remains one of our favourite places, and when the family visit it is their number one. In fact last week one daughter got married in UK and instead of having table numbers for the reception she named the tables after their favouite restuarants and D'Arca was one of them and the only one from Mallorca
