Hi, can anyone tell me if i can use my UK Blue Badge in or around the Port and Pollenca?

Now that we are Brexit EU outcasts I very much doubt that you could.

Has no one on this forum heard of Google ?

Google wont help. It is a local decision. You will need to check with the Policia Local. Many tourist areas on mainland Spain allow use of UK Blue Badges.

Dave. You are absolutely right. I contacted the Tourism Office and they said that i can use dedicated Disabled Spaces but must show my UK Blue Badge.
Well, i’ll give it a go and let’s see what happens 😁

That’s excellent news…..I hope it works out for you.

Ok, so i thought i would come back with my experience in case it helps anyone.

1) Obviously take your Blue Badge and possibly a Spanish translation and show both on your wind screen.

2) As in the UK, disabled spaces are marked by a wheelchair painted on the road and also a sign. Unlike the UK, you can't park on yellow lines etc

3) In the Port, there are two spaces by the Marina car park, near Stay, but they are always busy. There are a couple along the Formentor Road, one on Carrer de Joan XXIII (quite near the Grand Cafe), two near Llaut and one near the Chinese shop on Carrer del Metge Llopis. And two at the beach end of the car park near the petrol station.

4) I used my Badge quite regularly and had no problems. Obviously i'm no expert so can't guarantee that it will be so easy for all.

Best of luck

Chris
