Does anybody know - furniture store

Hi all p.p. lovers

I am looking to buy a leather recliner sofa for my new apartment, does anybody know of a furniture store that has links in the u.k. (Like ikea for example) so that I can look up what they sell at home, then come out and buy it in Majorca?

It's all because of time restrictions on our next visit. Hope you can help?

Definitely an Ikea in mallorca. Prices a bit higher than UK.

You could try Conforama in Palma. They have a website that you can look at from uk.
We bought items from them a week ago. Looked at website from uk, went to store, found out what was in stock, selected & carried away that day! - wasn't a sofa tho'! Well chuffed!
They have some really nice sofas etc. Delivery not as expensive as Ikea. Some staff speak enough English for us to get by with.
Worth a look.

Cant help with the shops but leather reclining sofas are usually very heavy and large so make sure it fits up the stairs and through the doors before you order it.

Ground floor apartment is easy taking large items through patio doors but up 3 flights of stairs with tight corners and a narrow door or two could be a challenge for the delivery men.

Just a pointer if you're having furniture delivered - make sure you agree for the delivery to be made to your apartment and then inside. I had a neighbour have a van load of furniture delivered and it was left in the street for him to carry up to his apartment alone!!
