Early visit

After a to long a period we are coming for a short visit in second week of May, earliest we have ever visited so any advice relating to average temp, attire needed etc:would be appreciated. Regards

May is one of my favourite months. Can be absolutely lovely. A precautionary jumper and waterproof but it’s generally a lovely temperature. Like anywhere, you can fall unlucky, but generally I’ve found it to be a great month to visit, and it’s not ridiculously busy.

Was there in early May last year and it was mostly lovely, although the evenings were cool.

Will be there again this year.

We were in PP 20-27 May last year and completely unprepared for the cold! It was quite wet too. Evenings were very chilly. Hopefully that was just an unusual week.
