Have just noticed this (see below) on the easycar.com site - they've moved the collection point to an underground carpark in the centre of Palma & even worse no more shuttle bus! You have to take a bus or taxi (to the centre of Palma!).

Friends had a bad experience with them last August (2002), when Easycar was located just off the airport.

First, the flight times they were given changed not long before they were due to fly, so they had to re-book their vehicle and missed out on the best rate. It cost them 400 euros for two weeks (I'd paid only £200 with Easycar the year before).

Then they had to wait almost an hour for the Easycar coach to collect them from the airport carpark - by which time there were several groups waiting and tempers were fraying.

At the collection point there was a problem with their credit card - the one used to book two cars had expired so they had to spend a long time and several attempts re-booking on another card. Customer service was in short supply and the queue was growing rapidly longer and more restless. I was on the same flight as them (I'd booked Carjet - 260 euros) and they eventually got to the villa about three hours after I did.

I had another good experience with Carjet this year, too.
