The traditional hamburger kiosk Moll, closed by municipal decree

The popular hamburger kiosk Port de Pollença, owned by Juan Ensenyat not open this season. On January 26 the mayor, Miquel Àngel March (Junts), signed a decree ordering the demolition of establishment pursuant to an agreement of the government commission of April 19, 2005, an agreement that is ratified by two judgments judicial, the last one in 2009.

As is the case with Gelats Valls it is a kiosk with great tradition in the Moll. It opened in 1964 in the port area and, after the reform of the environment, moved in 2004 to its present location on the corner of the street Formentor with Econom Torres.

The kiosk occupies a private plot by a lease . Available all urban and sanitary permits, but local complaint, of which the owner blames the father of Councillor Iliana Capllonch, prompted the City Council agreed in 2005 governing board demolition. He could do it invoking a clause that included the construction license textually saying " it should grant the license under the condition of demolishing without compensation when agreed by the City Council."

"The kiosk was a meeting place for young people. With all due respect to the kiosk ice cream (I have it signed in support) our kiosk went even further, giving an economical alternative for families with fewer resources could go out to dinner, "he says John Ensenyat visibly moved.

The mayor, Miquel Àngel March, said yesterday that the government team (Junts-UMP) has been limited to serving two pending court rulings and other consistories not comply. The alderman of Urbanism, Bartomeu Cifre Bennàssar, said the kiosk burgers had "repeated complaints of odors and sensitive security issues such as the use of butane."

Sausage and onion flavour, mmmm yummy

I heard from a local that hotels near by had complained about the smell, remember last year they complained about the music noise from O' Haras, so one night there was no band! Hubby went after the Euro final to get the obligatory late burger, closed, ended up with a very good Chinese, so that led us to ask the reason why.

Demolition would be a good career in PP at the moment!
No idea who owns the land it's on but I hope it's used sensibly or at least tidied up or it'll be an eyesore.
Great spot for something?
