We spent a day driving through the mountains and visited the Es Vergeret restaurant, very hairy drive to get there I might add, the road actually goes round 270 degrees at one point... the Time Out book says they do the best paella on the island and I wouldn't dispute it. Big terrace with the tables set out, nice place.
Went down to Cala Tuent afterwards but actually felt it was a bit of let down, grey stones and nothing much there, but the weather was deteriorating a bit, perhaps on a bright sunny day it would look better. I believe the water is very clear.
On the way back we did a small detour to visit the Torrentes des Pareis, bit of a mess with the coaches and tacky snack bars, but the tunnels and the gorge is impressive.
The mountain drive goes through Lluc which looks a peaceful place worth a visit.
