There is a charge for using Revolut at weekends,also if you go over £200.

Withdraw more than £200 cash per rolling month. You can exchange £1000 on a rolling monthly basis. These are the free plans. For the premium account (about £70 a,year) you get unlimited exchange and can withdraw £400 per month. Worth premium if you exchange more than £3500 I'm any single month. U
 
I’ve just signed up for the standard Revolut card. How I understand it, and I hope I’m correct, is that there is no charge for using card in Mallorca at weekends to pay for meals etc as long as I already have sufficient Euros in my account. Also, as stated I’ll be restricted to a £200 withdrawal limit or 5 ATM uses. Good exchange rate though.

Yeah correct... Ive been using Revolut for many years now and the exchange rate is always far better than the usual options. In fact I've just cancelled my Spanish bank account and upgraded my Revolut account to save a load of banking fees, which have been costing me over £500 a year.

I am assuming you have a property if you had a Spanish bank account. I am seriously thinking of moving to Revolut from Caixa. Can I ask did you find moving the council direct debits easy? Apart from the council charges, we only have the administrator, alarm company, Wi-Fi, electric and water - I am thinking they would be okay to move, but we have never found the council the most straightforward to deal with. Any information gratefully received.

That was my concern too, so I made a list of all the bank details, although couldn't recall how I'd set these up in the first place. Anyway, this isn't going to make you feel any better, as I made a transfer to my administrator, only for it to fail, because their bank supposedly didn't accept it. Revolut say it was sent as a Sepa instant transfer and they will do it again after two days as a SEPA credit transfer (SCT), but it hasn't happened yet.

I did email Endesa to endeavor to set up a DD and they emailed back asking for passport details and I've not heard anything yet! :confused: Anyway, one way or another I'll get it all sorted and avoid the excessive bank fees that have got out of hand.
 
Following with interested as Sabadell closed the branch in PP and tell me I have to go to Alcudia to collect a new bank card... that was before I bought the card but seriously? Caixa are 180m from our house in Pollenca!

Some companies will only accept bank accounts with a Spanish IBAN number (begins with ES). If you are using Revolut as a UK citizen your account with begin with GB. Revolut will only issue you a Spanish IBAN if you can show residency.

Technically they are supposed to accept any Euro IBAN (not that that would make any difference to UK!!!)
