All the bags are packed and we are off home first thing in the morning but just had to post what a great week it has been.

I have visited in oct, nov, dec, but never in jan yet many people had told us it is a lovely month in PP.
Thanks to sparky and all the info she has supplied, we arrived, well prepared to join in the San Antoni festivities... and it was perfect start to the holiday.

And the weather just got better and better... tonight I am doing the well skelpt "thingy" ( I can't find the star key on this spanish keyboard, but hope u get the drift ! )(translation for non scots... I am glowing):D

It has been a lovely week, loud and vibrant at the start then gentle, soft and mellow.

A wee look at PP ticking over

If you can... give it a go, its a lot different and very lovely

Miriam

I must admit that I've visited PP in every month except December, January and February.

So what was the weather like when you were there? Is it a massive improvement upon good old GB?

Did the place feel "closed" or were there enough shops, bars and restaurants open to give the place an "open" feeling?

We always find it lovely to wander around at a slower pace and explore without the worry of being stuck behind a coach on the roads. You seem to be able to breathe easier as its a lot less "holiday stress". You almost seem to be more intune with the community rather than a tourist too. Yes, it is a little more difficult to find places open, but they are there, and obviously information gathered before hand makes it a lot easier than before when we just used to drive round for about an hour looking for a lit sign outside a restaurant! Ah, the good old days! The ex-pat community is growing by the year, so there is a growing response to that.
