Hi, Does anyone know where I can buy a sea fishing license in or near Puerto Pollensa?

Thanks,

Hi.

We are new members of the forum but have been addicted to reading all the comments on here for a long time. We are both PP addicts of 20 years standing and adore the place and are counting the days until 13th June. Anyway to get to the point..... the pescado licences can be purchased at Muro (the office is next to the potato factory). You go there first with your passport to register and then you have to go to a bank in Sa Pobla to pay the fee which was in 2007 12 and a half euros for 2 years (over 65's are free). After paying the fee you return to Muro to collect the licence.

Hi all,

New member here, joined to look into fishing licenses mainly, but site seems a mine of info. Holidayed in Pollensa last year and going back again this year.

Read previous posts with interest as everywhere else says that licenses are obtainable from Palma only. See link: Fishing in the Balearics - AngloINFO Balearics, in Mallorca, Menorca and Ibiza (Spain)

Great if can get locally. Is it confirmed that this is still the case now? Price is stated from 07, things haven't changed since then have they?

Can't wait to get out and cast a line. Any pointers as to hotspots and baits? Will be beachcasting.

Thanks in advance.

Mark

Fishing licence

Hi MarkDale.

Holidayed in PP again in June and had to renew my licence. Obtained from same place in Muro (see previous post for details). Price increased to 13 euros 60 for two years. Best bait floating bread fished off the jetties. Have caught 2.7 kilo dorada and one baby and one grown up barracuda! which was great fun on light tackle! plus loads of mullett and other small fry. Big fish caught early morning.

Good luck. Tight lines. :)

Cheers Mickey. Can't wait to get out there. I'll post when I get back with a catch report.

Mark.
