Found Another Jewel In the glittering crown

We found this place by mistake, we were cycling around the area looking at properties we have been looking at online, one is very close to it! Only a few minutes up the road from the by-pass, also if you keep going you can get through to the town and also Alculdia, just don't do it in July like we did when it was 40c!! :eek:
 
Its open to the end of October Hotel is fully booked and also fully booked next year ( I am not surprised )
 
Thanks for that Fil...will def pay a visit in Oct. Trouble is we always get lost round the back of Llenaire & end up on a dead end by the by-pass!! Will take a map this time!!
 
Thanks for that, yes can picture that road now! It's always exciting to find new places in PP after so many years!! Just got to wait 4 weeks & 6 days now!!
 
Took your advice fil and just got back from having a lovely meal there. Went up to book earlier in the week and admired the view in the daytime, and its just as spectacular in the evening with the view of the car lights too! Lovely courtyard to have evening meal in, with the centre open to the sky and the tables wrapped around under cover, or inside if you so prefer. Service is top class as well as the food. As you say, they close end of October, and will reopen two weeks before Easter. Beautiful! ;)
 
Do they do lunch? We're hoping to come out to PP towards end October although my painful frozen shoulder (another story :(:mad::mad:) may put a stop to that! But if it gets to the frozen painless stage we'd love to visit Hotel Llenaire in the daytime. Otherwise it'll be next Spring.:rolleyes:
 
yes they have a snack menu for lunch and do drinks and coffee and cake and of course wonderful evening meals :)
 
Yes they do a lovely light lunch menu, on the lunch terrace, then you can have tea and cake on the other terrace! A two centre meal with different views! :)
 
Does anyone have a copy of their menu. I tried to get it online but couldn't find anything:)
 
I think its because they change their menu according to what fresh produce is available at the time. I heard someone mentioning the suckling pig they had the week before, but it was not on the menu the following week. I like the idea of fresh produce, but it can be upsetting when you have something in mind that you are looking forward to and its not on that week I suppose! But you wont be short of choices! ;)

Bella, do they do the menu a week at a time or is it just on a day to day basis. Wouldn't want to book and then find nothing on the menu that suits...although we are not fussy eaters;)
 
I think it would be weekly and maybe longer now they are at the end of the season. It may not even change at all, just the odd dish that is not available that day, or a special they put on.

We went up to book one afternoon to book for the following week and they showed us the menu, so I don't think it is ever changed dramatically.

I suggest you go up there as soon as you can to book though, and to make sure of their closure dates as well as the menu. They said the end of October, but it's best to be sure! ;)

Had lunch there last Friday, it was excellent, 2 had burgers, fries & salad and wife and I had chicken breast toasted sandwich in chibatta bread & creamy mushroom taglatelli, we all had a couple of drinks, 3 coffees and 1 cake, bill came to 84 euros. We thought it was good value as food was excellent, surroundings brilliant and a lovely way to spend two & a half hours. The owners were very welcoming also.

Two visits for morning coffee and cake this week.( to be mercenary, at 4 euros a go)
Everything above is true. Exquisite location, welcoming staff and no sniffy people visiting.

However, we were shushed by the next table :o when I dragged my chair up to the table to ensure the wonderful cake made it to my mouth.

The scraping noise :eek:was altogether not appropriate to such a peaceful location.

We took it in good part and ended up having an interesting whispered conversation with the shushers.
 
Thanks fil.We cycled to Hotel Llenaire after reading your post and the place was absolutely fantastic.The views from the terrace are amazing,the decor is just perfect and although we were only in shorts and T-shirts we got a warm welcome from the staff.
We ordered tea and cake (4 Euros each) and just sat and soaked up the view.I had a look at the lunchtime snack menu (1200-1500) and most of the dishes cost between 6 and 12 Euros.I could of sat there all day.
A lunchtime visit to Hotel Llenaire will be top of the list on our next visit. So once again thank you fil.
