Found Another Jewel In the glittering crown

We did visit it last week but unfortunately picked a day when there was a wedding on. Didn't want to intrude so just left and didn't manage to get back up. Oh well there's always next year

Hoping to cycle here at Easter with my daughters, not sure of the directions. Had a quick look on google, we are staying at the Flora. Which is the easiest way without getting lost?!

Not necessarily the shortest route but fairly straightforward - cycle along the seafront towards Alcudia past the Hotels Uyal, and Pollentia until you reach Galeon Apartments. Just past these are two restaurants Siurell and Swing?. Turn right into Avenida Llenaire and cycle up to the large roundabout on the new road (dual carriageway). Go straight across into Cami de Llenaire and you will find the right hand turn towards the hotel about half a mile on your right.

The view from the terrace is worth the journey.

That's very close to where we'll be staying in June (Bahia Pollensa) so I might have to take a wander up. We will have a 4 year old with us though whose interest in the view from the terrace might not match ours - although she will be interested in the cake!

Back at work after another fantastic trip to PP with only the memories and photos to look at. And we did make it to the terrace for coffee and cake with a suitably impressed 4 year old! Even she had comments on the view (after the cake was eaten of course!!)

Such a peaceful place to sit and look out over the bay.

When sitting on the terrace and surveying all the bay I've imagined this as The Lord of Pollensa's Hacienda. The little internal courtyard and the chapel with the outhouse building for servants gives this feel. I asked the owner for the history and he confirmed that the house had been in his wife's family since the late 19th Century. It had originally been a hunting lodge and they had extended the building. I was amazed to learn that all the surrounding land including llenaire beach had been part of the estate . The council had since adopted the beach and the beach road. Much of the land has been sold for development but the family still own the surrounding 150 acres !!!
