General condition of PP ???

Its not just the port when I was in Seville recently, did I tell you I went to Seville, the paths and roads are just as bad there, if not worst, the same slabs broken and missing, its just one of those things, its part of Spains rustic charm :)

Ahh - a fellow neighbour GG! Yes we love the Gommar area too for so many reasons.

There is a thread somewhere - I think it was Deanscroft - about the renovation of the Gommar area. I will have to check it out.
 
GG and Eleanor have you joined the Gommar/Gotmar residents association ?, they have been very successful in getting agreements on the regeneration of the area.
 
Thanks for the reminder Sparky. I'm going to email them. The reason I didn't before was that I was informed that they may not be interested in people who were not resident and that they needed members who were going to be active on the ground. I think that is how I understood it anyway.

I will email them this afternoon as i'm sure the more the merrier!
 
Thanks Sparky - we did sign up when it first started but we did not get a reminder about the membership and it just sort of lapsed (as it does:eek:)

Perhaps they need a membership secretary!

Know exactly what you mean Bella....I love it, flaws and all. Would hate it if it became too manicured and lose all it's authenticity. There are other resorts, if you want perfection......but no character!
Although I do hope they sort out anything that the locals really need improved:)

Just back last week and had a fabulous time as usual. I must say however that there did appear to be a huge increase in the amount of dog mess on the pavements.

Walking into town every night (from Siller) we watched locals walking their dogs and letting them defecate wherever they chose. We did pass a couple of those dispensers that are supposed to contain bags that you can use for lifting any dog mess but they were always empty!!!

Didn't let it spoil the holiday though just had to make an effort to watch were we walked
