I am coming to Puerto Pollensa in September does anyone know how much a taxi costs from the airport or can anyone recommend a reliable shuttle bus service?

Hi Kaz, the taxi fare is 73€ (daytime) and 79€ (night), and do follow Belladonna's link for shuttlebus companies and taxis. Also, if you read this section there are many posts with members experiences of the good and the bad.:)

Transfer from Palma airport

We used Resorthoppa again this time - with the handy discount code from this website - and the service was really good.
It worked out at about £7 each way and the buses ran to time.:)

Hi kaz, we used Jose Conde taxis last May, and the cost, as Sparky said, was 73 euros. We were in the port in no time!

Cheaper to hire a small car?

Depends on how long you want it for?

We are coming for 1 week mid September, get a car for around £130-00.

Generally best value to hire a car

EXCEPT July and August when the prices shoot up , then Resort Hoppa meets our needs ...... I know there has been some bad press but we used it last week and paid £102 for 7 people return against taxi quotes of £280 return for 2 taxis or minibus and car hire quotes of at least £400 plus fuel

Arrived in PP 2.5 hrs after touching down in Palma so lost an hour against normal timing and had to leave pp 1.5 hrs earlier than normal ( we are hand luggage so normally only leave PP a couple of hours before take off )

For us, a bit of inconvenience and 2.5 hrs less in PP was worth a couple of hundred pounds

When in PP really no need for a car unless you want to travel around ...... walk to supermarket for big shop ....... even if a distance away you can stop along the way for a drink and then get around

Bus can be used for Alcudia Old Town and Pollensa town

If you are staying anywhere in PP then nowhere is really too far to walk unless you have specific mobility problems ............ if it helps Illa D'or at one end to Tango at complete other end can be reached in less than an hour at a very leisurely strolling pace
