So yesterday was Christmas Day and we had booked lunch at Hell's Kitchen for 3.30pm. We arrived to an almost full restaurant, great atmosphere and received a very warm welcome from chef/owner Ian and waiter Stephen, we have known them both for many years and it's always a pleasure to chat to them.
First was a complimentary glass of Kir Royale then for starters we both had the king prawns with leaves, mango and avocado, for mains we had turkey with all the trimmings which was cooked to perfection and they even cut it up for Colin, i cleared my plate and even ate the sprouts (hence the yellow alert for wind
), after a little rest we had figgy pud and brandy sauce, couldn't manage the mince pies so they were wrapped up to take home. Everything was washed down with a bottle of chilled white.
