Hello to all members of the forum!
Just a quick post to say hello! I hope the new section will be informative, fun and useful when ordering or buying wine in Mallorca.
Please don't hesitate to ask any questions (even if you think they're silly) about wine, spirits, liqueurs, etc and I will do my best to help. If I don't know the answer I know a man who does!
I will post some messages about ordering wine in restaurants, explaining the often confusing quality system in Spain and posting any news about Spanish wines I come across.
I am due to visit PP in May and August and whilst there I'll be found intently studying the wine aisles of the local supermarkets and sampling the wine lists of some restaurants that get mentioned quite a lot on the forum!
As well as posting a message about wine on the forum, you can always send a message to my EZ inbox. I look forward to hearing from you all!

PS - In all the excitement of being able to write about something I love, I forgot to mention why Pollensa thinks I'm worthy enough to host this section!
I have always been interested in wine (since I was about 14) and in 1997 after doing evening classes in wine appreciation I studied for the Wines and Spirits Education Trust's Basic Certificate. I then went onto study for the Higher Certificate with a friend and gained a distinction in October 1998.
I work part-time for an independent wine and spirits importer/retailer and have spent a very happy couple of weeks recently, updating the shop's website by writing tasting notes for the entire range of spirits and liqueurs!!
I have also organised tastings in the past for a wine club I used to run and have travelled all over France visiting as many vineyards as possible!
