Hi all,I'm heading back to the Port at the start of August and am staying in a Pinewalk apartment. The only drawback being it does not have air conditioning. Is there anywhere in the Port that I can hire a couple of good fans to save me and my family from suffocating in the heat!:o

I think Multi Video opposite Flora Apartments would normally hire them, but as it's so hot lately, you may find they are all taken . Why not buy a couple of cheap ones and then see if Multi Video will take them off your hands at the end of your stay.

Try Multi Video they hire all sorts including fans and air con units although the air con is about 80 euros per week

You wll find them on the shopping section, under once your there.

Hi,

We always tend to buy a couple of cheap fans as it quite often works out cheaper than hiring them for a fortnight. Last we bought them from the hiper in Inca (Alcampo - I think?) and the previous year we got them from a little electrical shop in Pollensa (old town - not Port). Last year, we kept the box, wrapped it up and took it home and it is coming back with us on Saturday - five sleeps to go!

Multi Hire saved our sanity as we did actually take two fans with us but er forgot to test them before paying the EXCESS BAGGAGE to get them and all my shoes out there. Our apartment on the Pine Walk was very noisy at the back where the bedrooms backed on to a service road (we were five doors up from Bahia Hotel - Alicia B apartment) and it was impossible to sleep for noise/heat, windows had to be shut (double glazed worked a treat for the noise).
The aircon units are 60 euros a week, fans 15, over three weeks it would probably have been as cheap to buy, but later in the season you might not find many, perhaps prebook rental fans would be the best plan. Nice people, do all sorts of stuff in their shop.

Thanks for your help everyone,I spoke with Ian at Multihire today and have pre booked the last available air con unit to make our holiday much more bearable!:D
