My wife and I are visiting again this May. Umpteenth time! We have booked the Hobby Club for the first time. We understand that major refurbishment has/is taking place during closed season. Can anyone please advise regarding the progress, appearance etc.
Artists impressions look very good.
Thanks in advance.

The refurbishment seems to have gone on for some time.
There has been internal work, together with work near the pool and new emergency stairs.

I live just round the corner. The work seems to have been done without a lot of fuss. They seem to be tidying at present. Perhaps they are looking forward to re-opening soon. It all looks good.

A lot of work has gone into the supermarket next door along the front too.

I hope this is helpful.

Cheers!

San Miguel

We've booked to stay there at the end of May, before I booked I dropped them an email to enquire when the works were scheduled to be complete. They replied that the refurbishment would be finished by April 29th, so fingers crossed.

Thanks your help way back in 2017. I have just had an advice from tour operator that some demolition work is scheduled within 40 mtrs of the Hobby Club. Do you have any details as to what is effected?
I also thought that such works were prohibited during the season.
Thanks in advance.

That work within 40 metres of the HC is the villa on the corner of Limonera that started off having bits removed and has now been completely demolished. So wouldn't worry about that.

We are staying in May 2024 and wondered what is happening on the site now? Anyone know?

I have not heard anything new but I understand that any major works, if any, have to be put on hold during the season. Hope all O.K. as me and my better half also there in May. May bump into you in bar!

I actually took a photo of the site a couple of days ago.
