Holiday Home Insurance

Afternoon All,
I’ve just received a renewal notice for home insurance for my small holiday home in CSV.
Bank Sabadell want to charge me just over €600 for around €140,000 rebuild cost and about €16,000 contents cover.
The cost seems far too high.
Has anyone any suggestions of a reliable local broker who can probably do better?

Have you tried Linea Directa (Direct Line)? Everything in English. I use them for car insurance. Our property is part of a community insured with Allianz and contents with Caixa Bank. Insurance Brokers are pretty rare in Spain, I think. Most people go direct. I believe Axa are pretty good.

The test of an insurance company is when you have to make a claim.

We had a very good experience with Catalonia Occidente earlier this year. See previous post.

We used eladio@lorenteseguros.com who is based in the Port.

Prices were very competitive too.

With Linea Directa (Direct Line) always remember - never accept the first price. Leave it a few days and they will start ringing you back and reducing the price.
