in a word yep!! stayed last year with my husband in the autumn and enjoyed it very much...the staff are very friendly especially Pedro, the breakfast is really nice and lots of it and the setting of the terrace first thing in the morning, you couldnt wish for a nicer start to the day....however if the weather was wet I am sure it would be quite a squeeze inside, our room was clean and linen changed 3 times in one week and towels every day... the 2 star category doesnt do it justice ....big thumbs up as far as I am concerned but I expect it can be a little expensive in the high season.

Totally agree.Its a fantastic place.Its excellent value and it couldn't be better situated.If you can afford it get a room overlooking the bay - the views are fabulous.Be quick and book it as they don't have many rooms and they very rarely have vacancies at peak times.Don't be put off by the word Hostal as it couldn't be further from the truth.

The Bahia is in one of the most beautiful spots in the Port. The rooms are nicely kept, and breakfast on the terrace looking at the view is an absolute winner.

Sounds like I made a good choice here. I always liked the look of the hotel and its location. We have often stopped for a coffee or drink sat on the terrace.

We are staying for 3 nights in August before we can get into the apartment.

Gone the whole way and booked a superior room with sea views.

.. from previous posts Pedro the owner is one of the most customer orientated people around...a real star with many accolades. This sort of service deserves success!

Yes it is excellent. Have stayed every year from 2002, what a great welcome, the cleaner for example always says see you next year!
Must admit to using the place as a room mainly, what great value, great staff, and beautifull view.
My best part is actually 2 parts - 1 breakfast and people watching - 2 16.30 beer and people watching
Enjoy, and all those great restaurants so close by.
We will sadly miss this year due to a recent stroke, I need time to recover, have booked for 2011, can't wait!!
