I have just read on their facebook page that the hostal has had to close due to water problems, they will not be taking bookings until further notice :(.
However the bar remains open.

What about the restaurant part?
Coming out soon and was rather looking forward to one of Ross's special themed evenings for some grub one night.

Cheers.

Nick, as far as i know it is only the accommodation side of things that are affected, i will let you know if i find out any more.

Hi Nick i have just heard from Hostal Paris and they say the themed evenings are still on but people have to pre-book as they need to have enough bookings to make it worthwhile. :D

Looks like bad news posted on their Facebook page, will wait for conformation

Yes i just read that, very sad but to be honest it has been on the cards for a while. It's an old building in need of a major refurb but the owners can't or won't spend the money :(:(.

I saw an advert a few days ago wherr they were selling all the contents of the Hostal which seemed rather strange...... they have only just taken over the running of this place and had great ideas for improvements. I think this should be a warning to people who think that it is easy to make a quick buck over here, with all the good intentions in the world it does not always work and can leave you very much out of pocket so be sure that you study your market very carefully and get a full report on any commercial property!! I wonder what will happen now to this Hostal, it has a valid licence for x number of tourist beds I imagine......which def. has a value.

I was under the impression that the owners were not willing to repair the water supply and the electrics to bring it up to standard? not the lease holders.

Very sad it sounded so promising.
