I am thinking of staying at the Hostal Paris in May. Wondered if anyone could give me any info. ie is it suitable for a middle aged couple or is it aimed more toward a younger crowd? Getting a little long in the tooth now for too much late night drinking etc.

Can only comment from someone I know who stayed there recently. Fairly basic rooms, no lifts and lighting on stairs and landings not good. Bar underneath is quite popular.

Tommo I have to agree with Snowy. There are so many lovely apartments available to rent, do take a look.

Pinaret is a lovely area which has a number of 1 beds to choose from and is only minutes away from the beach and shopping areas plus restaurants.
If you find something on this site you can speak directly with the owner which is an added benefit.
Hope you find what you are looking for. I'm sure you will.

Can i just point out that "Hostal Paris" is privatey owned and advertises on this site, their telephone number and e-mail address are on the advert, so you can talk to the owner directly if you have any concerns.

Actually they don't advertise with us directly anymore but they do appear in the complete hotel listing at www.puertopollensa.com/hotels_apartments_pollensa.html#hostalparis - the phone number is provided but we don't give an email address. There are also a few booking options which give some details but is it is described as a 'hostel'.

Think that maybe some local info on whether the Paris is still doing music nites.. in which case it mite not be quite as quiet as Tommo is looking for... anyone know ?

Hostel Paris was recommended by a friend and I had intended staying there!
