Hotel Sis Pins Open in winter???.

This is fantastic news for PP. Hopefully at least some other hotels will follow suit and the port can be a true all year round destination as indeed it can well be.

Friends of ours stayed in Villa Concha in October..they were told that it was opening in March next year..so thats earlier than it has been for the last few years..

I have just done a Search on AlphaRooms using the Search Box on our Hotels in Puerto Pollensa Page for w/b 13/01/14 (to include Sant Antoni) & the following hotels showed availability:

Don Miguel
Galeon Suites
Eolo
and Sis Pins!

a quick internet search revealed that the following hotels are open all winter

eolo, don miguel, galeon, sis pins and mar calma

all very reasonable prices too

Yes I thought Mar Calma was closing for winter as well. I checked earlier in the year as we intended visiting in February and I'm sure that they replied saying they were closing....not sure when though

"We are very sorry but unfortunatelly the Mar Calma Hotel will be closed in February."

Galeon Hotel closing for a short break

The Galeon Hotel has just announced that it will be closing for a short break for rest, recuperation and a bit of refurbishment.....it will be open again at the end of February 2014.

"Many thanks for sharing with us this space. It has been a pleasure to join with you this new begining of the Galeon at Port Pollensa. To offer you a better service we inform you that will be closed for a good rest of the Galeon Team and reforms.

For your information the staff at Cappuccino last week told myself and friends that that they are closing for the winter and that the Hotel is closed for one month, maybe November.

Bad news re Cappuccino bar. Was hoping it would be open all year.

There simply are not enough people, willing to pay their prices, around in the winter. Hopefully they will only close for a short time as it provides some life to the beginning of the pinewalk and service is always excellent.

We were out over Christmas last year until the 1st January and it was open then so maybe they might just close for January?
Here's hoping!

Anyway, I think it's such a shame when people refuse to use it because of expense. Yes, a cup of coffee or alcoholic drink is expensive but a coffee marginally so and I'd rather have two drinks in there than three in some other places.

I have contacted the Hotel Sis Pins re a possible closure and this is their response:

"The Hotel is open all year around but this year we have to close from the 15th November to the 12th December for a reform.

Cappuccino close in November and open again probably in March. Sorry we do not know the exact dates".
