We booked this hotel mainly because of the recommendations from other forum members and we enjoyed our four night stay here.

The Uyal is on the coast road to Alcudia and is about a 10-15 minute walk from the roundabout in PP.

Our room was on the top floor of the new annexe building next to the main hotel and had fantastic views over the sea and the port.

There's a small pool but the beach is just yards away over the road and the hotel has lovely terraces, a comfortable bar/lounge and you can hire bikes from one day to a week.
There's also a small car-park if you hire a car.

The buffet breakfast is taken in the large dining room overlooking the sea or on the terrace and there's a good choice of everything including cooked bacon, sausage, eggs, etc as well as cold meats, cheese, fruit and cereal. They even provide decaffeinated coffee which I was pleased about!

There seemed to be entertainment every other night - on the Sunday we arrived there was Flamenco Dancing and one night as we were enjoying a drink in the bar before going out, a British singer arrived much to the delight of some of the guests who knew her by name.

My only gripes were the road noise outside which probably was more noticeable as we live in the country where you could hear a pin drop, and the ineffective air-conditioning which didn't help the temperature in the room. I should imagine in the height of the summer it could become unbearable.

Overall, though, the Uyal has a lovely "old-fashioned" charm with friendly efficient staff and a great relaxing atmosphere.
