Hi what's happening to the old community bar, has it reopened yet

Do you mean the Bar Circulo Cultural next to the church on the right?

If so, the hostal above it was being renovated by the owner ....and the bar was still closed last month. Maybe someone in the port could give an update?

On Friday i saw a big van backed into the doorway, don't know if stuff was being taken in or out but definitely not open .

Hardly surprising if it has folded. The service was dreadful and once the old team that ran it before opened opposite, the writing was on the wall. Wasn't hard to see where all his custom went.

It looks like the new windows are in. There is something resembling a BBQ I am told just behind the new frontage.

Hmmm, re B-B-Q. perhaps someone else has bought a steak in the business

Had a closer look this morning. There is new furniture being unpacked and to the right as you face the building there is definitely a BBQ ,whether it will be run separately who knows. The twin who is the boss was wandering around with his fat cigar!!.

Maybe he has leased it to someone else, he certainly never really seemed to take much interest in running it, which was a shame as it is a prime location.

The bar is now open again but i have not been in so don't know if it's under new management .

One twin running? the C Cultural without much success or input, spending lots of money on refurbishment etc

Believe Alejandro, the twin running the Circulo Cultural is a builder in his 'normal' life......

Spoke to a cigarless Alejandro today, rumours he is not running the bar/restaurant are apparently untrue, it is the man himself so he tells me, very smart serving staf in correct uniforms, how long will it last when the summer kicks in. no sign of a menu.......

I was in the square last night and noticed that the old "Plaza" chinese which had closed down has been cleaned up and according to the new sign it is now called "Bellinis Snack Bar and Temporary Store", sounds like they don't plan on staying long .

Aren't they the people who have the surf shop along from Circulo Cultural.

I was told it was the people from Laroc who were opening it.

They are going to open as a snack bar this year as they do not have time to change everything into what they have planned but will do the change over this coming winter. They are very nice people.
