Ironman May 9th Alcudia - PP

Just had an email from Thomas Cook warning about possible disruption caused by this Tri-athlon.

Apparently road closures might mean hotel drop offs are not possible until after 18:00 hours.

Perhaps they are just being cautious - I can't imagine main roads would be shut - anybody had experience of this before?

The local police have posted the road closures and times on FB .

The limitations and traffic restrictions will be as follows:

MA 2220 Alcudia-Port de Pollença: Cut from 08: 00 to 11: 30 h.
MA 2200 Port de Pollença-Pollença: Cut from 08: 00 to 11: 30 h.
MA 10 Pollença-Luke-Caimari: Cut from 08: 30 to 13: 30 h.
MA 10 Sa Calobra-Luke: Cut from 09: 00 to 13: 00 h.
Ma 2131 jungle-moscari-campanet-entrances Highway: Tallat of 09:30 to 15:30 H.
MA 13a (service road) Roundabout Way of Perelló: Cut from 09: 30 to 13: 45
MA350 Ctra Muro from roundabout with MA344: Cut from 09: 30 to 14: 30 h
Ma 3431 wall-can Picafort: Tallat of 08:00 to 15:30 H.
MA 3433 Sa Pobla-Alcudia (murterar) cut from 09: 30 to 15: 30 h.

The entrances and exits of Port de Pollença, Formentor, Cala San Vicente will be cut from 08: 00 to 11: 30 h.
The entrances and exits to Luke will be cut from 08: 30 to 13: 30 h.
Access to Alcúdia by Inca and Puerto pollensa will be closed from 08: 00 to 11: 30 pm
The entrances and exits of Barcarès, Alcanada, la Victoria and Malpas will be cut from 08: 00 to 11: 00 h.
