Is PP healthier than the UK?

I'd love to know if anybody has moved to PP from the UK purely for medical reasons. I'm sure some of you must have done.
Has your health been improved by the move? Does the sunshine make you feel better away from the grey skies and the cold and damp of the UK?

I am much better when i am in PP, i have had two knee replacements and have had to have two plates in my foot due to rheumatoid arthritis, i never bother taking painkillers with me. I'm just waiting to win the lottery and will be there in a flash

Am convinced that the lifestyle is more healthier here. Outdoor living , Med Diet, less stress but to move permanently here is a big choice.

Technically the provision of free healthcare for Brits under the official
retirement age is not covered and a lot of Brits have found out to their cost throughout Spain. The Ehic card is really intended for short term visitors as part of the European wide scheme.

When you are here longterm and keep a base in the UK you need to ensure the NHS doesn't strike you off at home.

Have a friend who has type one diabetes and whenever she comes to Puerto Pollensa needs less insulin and generally feels better. Not sure about Spanish hospitals have heard in Mallorca they are very good.

Bevgt, I have had the misfortune of needing to be treated at the local hospital and I must say I am very impressed with the healthcare here in Majorca. Once you are a pensioner of course you get health care here as in the UK.

Thats reassuring Lollipop I must say the program on the hospitals in Palma and Playa de Muro were always very good considering the amount of tourists they have to see.
