Hello Everyone, We used to go to this restaurant on the Pine Walk , it was perfect for couples with children situated right on the water, you could enjoy a half decent meal while the childen played happily on the sand making new friends and climbing the big tree right infront of Katys. The french onion soup was excellent and was a close contender with Restaurant Stay as far as we were concerned in its day. What sadly has happened to this place!

Hi Lady P,

Seems not to many forumers have heard of it. I agree with you this was a gem of PP a couple of the waiters are up at the yaucht club. This was a great place for a romantic night out. Chase the kids on the beach and share a bottle of plonk

Happy days lady P

We used this bar last year once and once this year and never again. we just wanted a drink and the attiude of the staff is it seems that you are bothering them and no smiles,no banter with the kids etc. then as last year sitting on the beach a group of english people arrive and are staying in appartments just by the bar and the reserved signs go up on the tables at the front 24/7, these people seem to give the impression they own the area. the staff can't do enough for them perhaps i need to join this club of english people to get this service?. All it takes is to be pleasent and in general the restaurants in the area are good, if the owner wants to sell this one i for would buy it as you cant do better than take over a place when its at the bottom.

I had to go into this bar a couple of weeks ago for something and was disgusted by the attitude of both the man and the older woman. They were very rude and unco-operative. I am amazed that people who have, I assume, made a living from tourists feel that this is the best way to treat them

Sounds a great place. I'll make a note about it for future reference, under the heading "Places to body swerve".
Thanks for the advice.

Rob

I know this is such a shame. seems so easy to succeed in a perfect location, holiday atmosphere etc but at this moment in time with the wrong staff, attitude and commitment its never going to work.
