Hi all, has anybody out there heard when Katys Bar will re open, or even if it ever will ?

Katy's Restaurant

Katy's Restaurant & all of her apartments were still stuck in legal/probate wrangles when I was last out in October. It all seems very sad really. Various stories were circulating from neighbours, some suggesting that the nuns in a local convent had been left everything so that some money could be provided for an old people's meeting room. More recently, some of the locals have been saying that the doctor who was attending to Katy in Inca Hospital ended up witnessing a very late will and some suggest that the will was in his favour!
Her only living relative, her nephew Miguel, who runs the splendid Rustic Cafe, seems to have been unfairly left out in the cold as far as we can gather. Normally Spanish wills favour family connections so I'm hoping that he will end up with something in the end.

Thanks for that Lorenzo. We were last out in June and as you say the legal wrangle was already in progress. We thought that there was a sister Edie, we certainly have met her on many occasions, and in fact when we were last in P.P we were asking her to get the keys and open up, joking of course. We regularly use Rustic Cafe when there but were unaware that Miguel was any relation to Katy. Lets hope that all is resolved befor the season next year as we shall be in P.P for at least the month of June and we miss "our bar ".
