I think we had only ever eaten there once before under previous ownership and of course whatever it was called then.
So suitably aperitified, as always , we went for dinner one night recently.
Got a table just outside which is where we like if eating in the Square, not out in the middle of the Square.
Now I have to say we had partaken of a little too much sustenance at lunchtime so it was to be a one course job!:eek
The waiting staff are so smartly and attractively dressed in their red shirts, black trousers and black aprons and led by the imposing Claudia, march around at great speed doing their duties.
We enjoyed very much the breads and I had a Pizza with a topping including strong anchovies while Sherry had a Rigatoni pasta which was very impressive and we had a bottle of mid range red, could it have been Penedes?. It was about three weeks ago and I don't do the notebook , sorry!:lol
Afterwards we had coffee and then brandies. A very modest sized meal but as I said before......
And of course the la quenta was modest too!!
At the next table were two English couples and we got engaged in rather a happy conversation for some time and fuelled it with a trifle more brandy!:lol
Shropshire faarrmers from Shrewsbury way, out for a short break and enjoying themselves and were impressed with the Piazza food too, so they werrrre!
Don't think one was Faarrmer Boyce though!!:lol
And if you are reading this Faarrmers , it werre a good night!!:rollin :rollin
And as I said Claudia ran an efficient show!!
