Has La Singala been refurbished - lift, more balconies, new flooring in reception area, etc.?

Hope they haven't got a lift. I'm only staying at La Singala because it offers the healthy option of a staircase rather than a lift.
I've spoken to Josep recently, and there was no mention of lift balconies or flooring.

Met up with Josep at La Singala last week.The hotel is in the final stages of a fairly major refurbishment.Scaffolding is up over the exterior in preparation for the building being repainted.New patio windows leading onto terraces are being fitted on 4 rooms facing the mountains on the first floor.The old laundry room at the top of the hotel has been converted into a guest room,and a new laundry has been built behind the kitchens.The reception area has been extended and the old chimney has been removed,making it feel much more spacious.A new floor is being laid.
There are plans for a lift,however this will not be done this year.
The hotel will have Wi-Fi and all rooms are to have TV's.
It's great to see such an investment being made in this lovely place.For anyone looking for a small hotel with a fabulous location and wonderful staff it's just ideal.

Re my earlier post - how wrong can you be!!

Thanks for this news. We are booked in for 2 weeks in June, a week in September and about to book a week in April!

As you say it's great that the owners are confident enough to invest. It is a lovely little hotel and the staff are first class. After the collapse of Globespan and the closure, it's good to see the place reopened,prospering, and the staff back at work.

Does anyone have info on the owners?
