"Mad Dogs" on Sky TV Feb 10th

Be great to watch all in one go as I just hate getting into something then having to wait a whole week for the next episode!

Know what you mean Eleanor....and the hour goes by so quickly!! Really enjoying it and last nights episode was really exciting and hilarous in parts.
My only disappointment is that Ben Chaplin only survived one episode........( OK to say? I think the world knows by now!!) last May, they were sitting on the next table to us at Centric I had no clue who they were, only that they were celebs of some sort, Philp Glenister is the only one I would have known and as it happened he wasn't among them that night but Ben was... Couldn't take my eyes off him, so yes, my only disappointment !!

And as for the nude jumping into the swimming pool - I had no problem with that shot - whatsoever!

Have to agree with you there Belladonna, I did have to rewind though just to make sure I had really seen what i thought I had seen!

Can anyone explain why the same poster on the billboard was also fly posted on the sub station just above the graffiti ..... Clearly visible when the 2 guys get picked up by the other 2 in the jeep ........

The high spot of Thursday night was Mrs Clinkham spotting that Philp Glenister was wearing the same loose, unbuttoned, denim shirt that he wore when he was sat at the table next to us (with his fellow actors) on the Illa d'Or terrace.

the Only thing that got my wife hooked was the preview of the second episode which they showed at the end with Max Beesley jumping naked into the pool she made me rewind it several times lol she has even asked sky if they can add a zoom feature to go with the pause

That's funny - my wife says the same thing about real life.

Just watched the second episode and it seems to have settled down now and knows what it wants to be. I enjoyed this a lot more than the plodding first episode and laughed more or less throughout it. I cringed at the amputation scene, too. I didn't miss Ben Chaplin at all. Much as I like him I thought Alvo was the weak link in the first episode; but then, with only one episode of character development to work with that wasn't really Chaplin's fault. The female cop was good in so many ways.

Where did they park the hire car?

I've been a fan of Ben Chaplin for years - he used to be in a sitcom called "Game On" ages ago and was then in a film called "The Truth about Cats and Dogs". It was great to see him in Mad Dogs, but like you, favie, I was a bit miffed he was only in one episode. His poor feet!!!

I've seen him in a few things recently, like Dorian Gray, Me and Orson Welles and Stage Beauty. He's not what you'd call prolific, though. Who could forget Matt's astonishing vocal debut in Game On? I thought he was destined for great things after watching that.
