Doesn't sound like there is much scenery to spot this week

There isn't a lot of scenery. Not sure how the rest of the series will be but I think this is definitely NOT a travelogue for the area, which is a bit disappointing for those of us who hoped to see a lot of PP. But then I don't think it was intended to be, in all fairness. I do love how they've captured the quality of light, though. Watching it I can almost feel the heat!

Just a few comments / observations

I think the guys need ro get some advice from Puerto Pollensa (Port de Pollenca) Holiday Travel , Majorca Mallorca ....... then they would be aware that

There is a really nice assistant in the Vodaphone shop in pollensa who could sort them out with replacement mobile phones

There are several good cleaning companies who they could have sent out to the boat to do their cleaning for them

There is a company called Webs who transport goods between Majorca and the UK

They could flee to Minorca or Barcelona via a ferry from Alcudia

They should not miss the opportunity to have a great meal at one of many restaurants ........ but out of respect for recent happenings they may want to order their steak "sin sangre"

There are lots of other villas available to rent nearby if things get too hot where they are

Rick could get himself a much nicer hat from the Sunday Market in Pollensa

If things get too heavy they could visit Bony's where they will be told that things are "not forever"


If they are wondering where to find someone small who could have been hiding behind the Tony Blair mask ..... they should perhaps visit a certain bodega c'an Ferra ..... aka "the little people"

If they need a taxi in a hurry then Zarza are always on hand

If they need a good lawyer then Mr De La Cruz comes highly recommended

and if by any chance they need another hire car, they mustn't go to record or the whole flippin series will have finished before they get to the front of the queue

I've been a fan of Ben Chaplin for years - he used to be in a sitcom called "Game On" ages ago and was then in a film called "The Truth about Cats and Dogs". It was great to see him in Mad Dogs, but like you, favie, I was a bit miffed he was only in one episode. His poor feet!!!

Miffed Jane, I was furious.....still hoping they will do a "Bobby Ewing" (Dallas) with him!! Feet intact of course!!
Still, I will treasure the moment I seen him in the flesh.

The "Hotel Miramar" was actually the Purobeach spa near the airport ..... havn;t been but have heard about it and good old google images and the waiters T-Shirt has confirmed the location

Got quite excited when they mentioned The Miramar....thought great, Puerto Pollensa at last!!! Purobeach looked lovely, I have heard of it....but very mixed reviews on tripadvisor.
What a brilliant episode again.....laughed so much in parts!!

I agree whaley it really is so funny and a great hours entertainment. Thought the bit when they were trying to contain 'Tiny' Blair was hysterical..especially when they let him out of the cupboard Loving John Simm and Philip Glenister's characters too

Caught up with the third episode of " Legless in Pollenca " last night and , yes, Debs its great fun . So tongue in cheek , well with the number of amputations going on it could be tongue anywhere !!!

Just lurved the scenes with Tiny and larfed out loud. Think Bob Hoskins on Speed !!!! . Met a pretty sticky end though. Serves him right for biting his nails !!!

Scared witless by Fido. We all know he's off the Pedigree Chum for a few days whilst gnawing Alvo's leg in the undergrowth somewhere. Can't wait to see the priest sprinkle holy water over that blighter come next San Antoni . Make sure you have your camera with you , Sparky !!!

However nearly fell off me chair when the good ship SS Bonytania came into view . Must have been filmed on one of my little trips out with the PP yoouf club ( members : gals only between 19 -25 years old !!! ) last summer.

If any of my slightly more mature lady readers want something a bit more sedate I can organise more gentle afternoon cruises. just pm me. Fancy a trip around the Point, Bella ???

And as for trying passing 500 Euro notes , you have a job passing 100 Euros in my experience . The EU has obviously got it's inflation forecasts more wrong than the Bank of England !!!!

Anyway roll on next week's episode.

As for your suggestion to Bella - well what can be said? Only that with your wit and Bella's great writing skills ( hope you have all read her blogs!) you should get together - what reading that would be! lol -
Seriously and to get back on topic! Isn't it great! Had so many mentions on tv reviews too. I feel it's a shame for those without sky 1 but have heard it is out on dvd soon so well worth the buy. I will be watching again but in one go next time.

Really disappointed with the last episode of Mad Dogs they should have had a few more episodes instead of cramming it into four,and then they could have shown more of the surrounding countryside as well.

Agree that it needed to be spread out longer, its almost as if it has been a pilot! Now that would be good! All things considered, it was a good 4 programmes, storyline was good, acting reasonable -perhaps a little bit too much swearing, but when you get 4 guys together I suppose its true to life, would have loved to have seen more of the island, but thats just us being greedy I suppose! Definitely could have been made into a longer series.


Oh, and I think they may have lost their deposit on the villa!!
