Mad Dogs - Series 2

Be honest,would you watch "Mad Dogs" if it wasn't set in Mallorca?
In my opinion the first series was pretty poor and Mrs Stevo66 and I only watched it in the hope of recognising somewhere that we had visited.

Totally agree - we didnt really 'follow' the story but not sure if it was because we were concentrating on the locations, or because it was 'boring'! But we will probably watch the new series for the location spotting

So Mad Dog 2 Episode 1 has been and gone... It kept my interest and I actually thought it got off to a better start than series 1.

On the negative side (or maybe positive side if you want to keep the beauty of Mallorca a secret to keep to tourist numbers down!), Mallorcan locations were moonlighting for Ibiza! In the opening segments of the final scene the 'gang' drove along the mountain road to Formentor with a lovely aerial view of the Port and Bay of Pollensa.

More to come I hope!

I thought that the spot where the car blew up looked like the turning circle above cala on the walk between Cala and PP

Exactly what I thought re the above.

The map on the sign was even of Mallorca and all they'd done is written "Ibiza" in red pen above it !!
Cheapskates !!!

I do agree though, it got off to a much better start than the last series.

Just one thing however, would you really hand over 3 million euros for a wrinkly old woman ???!!!

Ok now I hope this doesn;t seem too geeky but something has been bugging me about Mad dogs series 1 and now 2

In series 1 there was a poster that kept appearing ...... it was on a billboard at the bar a few miles away from the airport where the guys waited for Baxter to return with the hire car, it was on another billboard I think in Magaluf and also ( and this is the strangest ) it was pasted onto the Electricity Sub Station when Quinn and Baxter were waiting with the money for the other 2 to return with the car.

Well this poster has turned up series 2 in a cafe in Ibiza ..... it was on the again noticeboard in the cafe where they met the giorl and her contact ( the strange little man on the motorbike - when she contacted him via text and he was at the next table )

The thing that is strange is that it keeps appearing BUT isn't a Poster/Advert I can recollect seeing on any billboard or in any bar and certainly not on the substation ( which is on the PP to Cala Walk )

Mr CD reckons I have "lost the plot" ..... he thought it was bad enough when I had him Villa huntng last year and now thinks it has got out of hand .............. but hey ho I would love to know if anyone recognises the poster and has any idea what it is advertising

I am beginning to think it is some sort of subtle advertising as opposed to anything actually to do with the plot but now I have noticed it I need to know what it is

I think you must have been an Indian in a previous life, called Eagle Eye!! LOL! NOW we will all be scanning posters to find out what it says. Shame you cant see the wording at the bottom, that may have given a clue. Perhaps you can find the scene video somewhere and see if it shows up, then google the words and see what happens.

Just found this extract from a review website called "Den of Geek"


Writer, Cris Cole, enjoys picking holes in his characters' machismo as the tension mounts, and the strange billboard posters dotted all over the sun-scorched island, which say "Yenda a ninguna parte," ("Going nowhere") are perhaps a foreshadowing of their imminent fate.


So now we know what they say but am still none the wiser

The billboards might be adverts for the popular "Casi Angeles Cuarta Temporada" tv soap, of which one episode was called "Yendo a ninguna parte".
Maybe a slightly over-used prop?

Or maybe just a handy Buddhist comment on things

I can't be certain but a split second or two in the trailer at the end of Episode 2 tonight for Episode 3 next week included what looked like a chase involving the 4 Mad Dogs along the 'new' beach in PP.

I'm back in PP next Thursday but will tune in even more eagerly to see it on TV!!!

Hi I wondered about that but actually think it may have been Muro ..... thought some of the beach scenes in this weeks were also Muro

Also they definitely drove through Magaluf on their way back to the apartment in Ibiza !!!!

We watched episode 2 last night and turned it off after 40 minutes;it was so slow and boring....Forget spotting the places that they might visit,we can see them in real life.

On the contrary a lot of people enjoy spotting various places, it fairly brightens up a dull Winters evening in January, and whets the appetite for the Summer.

Well I love spotting places and I love watching the boys and I am also enjoying the story
