Very sad news, loved long lazy lunches here on market day :(:(

From their FB page

It's the end of another season and unfortunately the end of Manzanas y Peras. We want to let all our customers know that as of 22nd October, Manzanas y Peras has closed permanently. The landlord of the premises made the decision to increase our rent by 150% thus making it impossible for us to continue running the business.

We'd like to thank all of our customers who have supported us over the last 6 years and all of our staff who worked with us in building a successful business. It's been a fantastic experience and we have made many happy memories and lasting friendships with both our colleagues and regular customers.

We will continue living in Pollenca as it has become our children's home and we have a number of exciting new ventures we are eager to start on. If anyone wishes to contact us we would be happy to hear from you. Please send us a private message and we'll get back to you.

Unfortunately, small minded greedy landlords have been the downfall of many small businesses in PP over the years. They will get their just deserts when PP is a ghost town of empty shops and restaurants. :(

Best wishes for the future, maybe its a blessing to get out now, waiting for the effect of the recent rental laws on higher rents, may have been worse!!

Very sad for them.We have enjoyed their Tapas Feast many times over the years.A lovely couple who built up their business so well.A few years ago on Trip Advisor this restaurant was no.1 in Pollensa,no.1 in Mallorca and furthermore no.1 in the whole of the Balearic Islands.
We wish them all the best with whatever venture they undertake.
